“The Central Ohio Rescue and Restore Coalition is the 21st of its kind to be established in the United States under the guidance of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to assist victims of human trafficking; rescuing victims through increased public and law enforcement awareness and restoring lives through social service support.
Since its inception in July 2007, the coalition has grown to include over 90 members, comprised of both concerned citizens and those who represent social services, faith-based, medical and law enforcement organizations. The Coalition’s work is focused in five area committees:
There are so many different ways that you can help the Coalition. You can help at The Well, a sanctuary for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation, by preparing a meal for 25-30 people, leading an activity at The Well from 1-2 PM every Tuesday, or organizing and restocking their rooms and closets. There are many items that you can donate to help. You can train on the Street Team to offer street outreach to trafficking victims. You can request a prayer pack and pray for victims’ well-being. You can serve at a guest house that offers short-term housing for survivors of trafficking, advocate or speak for the Coalition, buy products from Belts Breaking Bondage, host a fundraiser, donate funds – and more.
