The Girl Scouts’ mission is to build girls’ courage, confidence, and character, to help them in leadership development. Girls earn badges, sell (delicious) cookies, go on exciting trips, explore the outdoors, and engage in projects that make difference in our community. The Scouts tie into each girl’s faith and help her develop her own set of values. And scouts are eligible for national scholarships, too.
Volunteers will need to pass a background check. After that, you can become a troop leader or co-leader, carpool, plan activities, bring snacks, help manage money, coordinate the annual cookie drive, mentor adult volunteers, or help with Girl Scout camps.
